Luna Cafe

  1. How would you describe Luna Cafe in three words

    Creative, Original, Fun

  2. Where were you right before Luna, what made you start?

    I was just finished with my BBus from AUT and realised that sitting in a chair 9 to 5 isn't for me, at the same time I was astray from my root, having a little identity crisis, of being Vietnamese but spent most of my teenage years in NZ, surrounded by many ethnicities and perhaps at one point, forgot about my own. Many reasons combined and Luna Cafe 1.0 (back in the day we were called Luna's Express) started. But mainly, was for me to keep the connection with my culture and tradition.
  3. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself starting Luna?

    If I could, I would tell myself to sleep a little more, take care of myself a little more and that would result in better decision making and healthier me :)

  4. Tell us a little bit about each of you - an interesting fact or maybe a party trick?

    fun fact, I can somewhat understand Hindi

    😋
  5. Why did you choose matcha and thea?

    Growing up, my mother worked for a Japanese firm for a long time and I was introduced to matcha in a very early age. Matcha has an unique flavour that reminds me of family and warmth. So of course, when I have my own cafe, having matcha on the menu is a must! I chose thea because I heard great things about May and Enna, and I love to support another local girl bosses' business as much as I can. However, it is undeniable that the quality of the matcha is so premium, especially when it comes to baking, thea matcha out perform most matcha I tried before from flavour to color.

  6. What's your favourite matcha item?

    That would be our upcoming release *secret stuff ;)* Honey Matcha creme filled croissant.
  7. Anything else you would like to add?
    [Luna currently] have  creme filled croissant. {check out their website for all the amazing goodies on offer here}
